How to Play Real Cash Rummy Game

13 cards are dealt to each player at the beginning of every deal/game in real cash rummy. The cards are dealt completely at random, and experienced players are known to play against the odds and turn the tide in their favour, thereby proving rummy to be a game of skill rather than a game of luck.

Number of Players

A typical 13-Card Rummy game on RozRummy can be played by a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 6 players. If there are more than 2 players in a game, 2 decks of cards are used.

The Toss card will determine which player will play first. Each

  1. JOKER
  2. SPADE
  3. HEART
  4. CLUB
  5. DIAMOND

A toss is made at the beginning of each game to decide which player will deal cards. Then a wild Joker is selected randomly from the closed deck and 13 cards are dealt to each player. The first card from the remaining cards is placed face up to form an open deck, while the remaining cards are placed face down to form a closed deck.

Each player has to arrange all the 13 cards in his/her hand in proper sequences and/or sets. On his/her turn, each player has to pick a card from either the closed deck or the open deck and discard one of his cards to the open deck. The player who arranges all his/her cards in valid sequences and/or sets first wins the game.

What Are The Basic Concepts In rummy cash game?

There are two basic concepts in rummy cash game:

Sequence: A sequence in rummy cash game is made up of 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit. For example, A?-K?-Q?-J? is a group of consecutive cards of the same suit, so it is a sequence. Sequences are one of the most important aspect of the rummy cash game. A player needs to form two sequences including a pure sequence (a sequence in which no card has been replaced by a Joker) and another sequence or set to win a game.

Set: A set in rummy cash game is made up of 3 or 4 cards of the same rank/value but different suits. For example, 7?-7?-7?is a group of cards of the same rank but different suits, so it is a set.

Jokers: Jokers (both wild and printed Jokers) play a special role in the Rummy game, they can replace any card to form sequences and sets

The objective of the real cash rummy games are very simple,as mentioned above, all the cards have to be arranged in proper sequences and/or sets. To win at real cash rummy, players need to form at least two sequences, out of which one must be a pure sequence (without a Joker replacing any card), and all the other cards must be arranged in sequences and/or sets.

Maximum Points in a Game In 13-Card Rummy, a player can get a maximum of 80 points irrespective of the total value of the cards in his/her hand.

Middle Drop: If a player drops out of the game at any time after his/her first turn, he/she gets 40 points.

Consecutive Misses: If a player misses three consecutive turns, he/she gets a middle drop and is automatically dropped out of the game.

Losing Players with a Valid Hand: Players who declare their combinations second and have a valid hand get 2 points. So, if you win a game against players who also have a valid hand, the losing players with valid hands lose by two points each.

Losing Players with a Valid Hand: Players who declare their combinations second and have a valid hand get 2 points. So, if you win a game against players who also have a valid hand, the losing players with valid hands lose by two points each.

When playing rummy real money, you win or lose a game based on the number of points you have scored. The winning amount or lost amount is calculated on the predefined value of the chips, i.e. the value of each point in rupees. The winner gets the total of the amounts lost by the other players at the table.

This is how a simple calculation of points in real money rummy can be done:

Winnings = Sum of the points of all the opponents X Value of each point in rupees Roz Rummy Fee

Here is an example. Suppose 4 players play a game of cash rummy at a Rs. 160 table, with the chips valued at Rs. 2 each. A player wins the game and the three losing players lose by 20, 40 and 50 points respectively. The winnings will be calculated as follows:

2 x (20+40+50) = Rs. 220.

The amount won is credited to the winner account immediately after deducting the applicable Roz Rummy fee.
